Kerala Flood Disaster Relief
In 2018, there was unusually high rainfalls in Kerala. This resulting in severe flooding. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century. Over 483 people died and 140 missing and displacing over 150,000.
KCAUK helping hand provided scholarship for 27 flood survivor students. An amount of £4456 was distributed.
Rt Rev Dr James Anaparambil, coadjutor Bishop of Alleppy inaugurated the event held at St.Michaels College, Cherthal. KCAUK Secretary Mr Shajan Joseph and former President Adv Earnest Peter addressed the gathering. The event was coordinated by Fr Nelson Thaiparambil, the manager of St Michaels College.
