Onasadya 2026

The Kerala Catholic Association of the UK (KCAUK) celebrated its annual Onasadya 2026 on 16 August 2026 at Our Lady of Compassion Parish Hall, Upton Park, London E6 3BT.
The traditional Kerala feast was served on banana leaves, featuring more than twenty dishes carefully prepared to bring together the distinctive flavours of Kerala’s culinary heritage – sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy.
The celebrations were formally inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Britto, Parish Priest of Upton Park, who joined the KCAUK community for this special occasion.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for members, families and friends to come together and celebrate the spirit of Onam. There was a warm and joyful atmosphere throughout the day, with many taking the opportunity to catch up with friends and relatives and enjoy the traditional feast in the company of the wider community.
The success of Onasadya 2026 would not have been possible without the generous support and commitment of our volunteers, families and friends, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise and deliver the event.
KCAUK extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making Onasadya 2026 such a memorable and successful celebration of Kerala’s rich culture, traditions, food and, above all, the spirit of togetherness that Onam represents.
Welcome to Kerala Catholic Association of the UK

Founded in 1984, the Kerala Catholic Association of the UK (KCA) was established to foster a vibrant community rooted in social fellowship, mutual support, personal growth, and wholesome recreation. With the majority of its members residing in Greater London and neighbouring counties, KCA continues to serve as a cultural and spiritual anchor for the Malayalee Catholic diaspora.
KCA remains deeply committed to promoting harmony and nurturing the moral and spiritual well-being of its members. Through organised pilgrimages to sacred shrines across the UK and abroad, we aim to inspire reflection, renewal, and a deeper sense of purpose in life.
In addition to its spiritual mission, KCA actively engages in charitable initiatives both locally and internationally. These efforts include fundraising for humanitarian causes, supporting vulnerable communities, and partnering with organisations to deliver aid and resources where they are most needed.
In recognition of its enduring values, KCA appointed Monsignor John Armitage as its Patron in 2009. The current Patron is Monsignor Kevin Hale, whose guidance continues to enrich our mission. KCA is a registered organisation in England, United Kingdom, with Company Registration No. 08010671 and Charity Registration No. 1103811
