KCA 5-A-Side Tournament 2010

KCA held its annual 5-A-Side Football Tournament on 31st July 2010 at Power League Norwegian Playing Fields, Beckton

The event was sponsored by Zeta Logistics – International Courier, and Cargo Services.

There were eight teams competing in the Men's competition and 5 in the Under-16s. From the Men's competition, there were 5 teams representing East Ham and 3 from Croydon (KCWA – Kerala Cultural and Welfare Association). From the Under 16s competition, there were 3 teams from Croydon and 2 from East Ham.

In the Men's tournament, East Ham Rams beat Neville Devils 2 – 0 on penalties after drawing 2 – 2 in normal time. In the Under 16s, Croydon's Young Guns beat Magic Touch by a goal to nil. It was an enjoyable and competitive day and we encourage more Malayalee youths to take part in events like these. Well done to East Ham Rams & Young Guns! The KCA Cups will be distributed to these teams on KCA's Christmas & New Year's Programme in Southall on 19th December 2010.
